Brazil vs South Korea prediction, odds, betting tips, and best bets for Round of 16 World Cup 2022
South Korea’s dramatic victory over Portugal not only propelled them into the World Cup Round of 16 but sent a clear warning to the next opponent Brazil.
Hwang Hee-chan’s injury-time winner set up a clash with the tournament heavyweights, breaking Uruguayan hearts in a brutal fashion in the process.
A much-rotated Brazil 11 were surprisingly beaten 1-0 by Cameroon in their final Group G match, as the favorites failed to go into the knockout rounds unbeaten.
All eyes will be on Neymar’s ankle in the build-up to their first knockout-stage match, with the forward’s participation far from guaranteed.

Brazil vs South Korea: Overview
This last-16 tie will be the first meeting of Brazil and South Korea at the World Cup. All six of their previous encounters were friendlies. They also played an exhibition game in the Nike World Tour back in 1997.
South Koreans won’t want to dwell too long on their most recent encounter, just six months ago in Seoul. Brazil put on a show, blazing to a 5-1 victory via goals from Neymar (twice), Richarlison, Philippe Coutinho, and Gabriel Jesus.
However, South Korea fondly remembers one victory over the Selecao. Back in 1999, a side featuring Cafu, Rivaldo, and Juninho has beaten 1-0 thanks to a Kim Do-Hoon strike in Seoul.
That is the Asians’ only victory over Brazil.
